I have been taking pictures since I was 10 years old. Throughout my 20s I did professional photography. I have been doing clinical iris/sclera photography for the past 38 years. This includes designing and building imaging systems.

I have created and been selling the newest version, the Pesek IrisCam MultiFlex, for 10+ years. Over those years, this system has been refined several times. It is essential to have lateral and medial lighting and have the camera mounted on a pedestal with the client positioned in a forehead/chin rest for stability. This is the proper way to take professional/clinical photos of the iris and sclera. Hand-held cameras are not adequate, period.

What makes the IrisCam so versatile is the camera can be removed from the stand. Thus, it can be used as a hand-held iris camera, if necessary, but not optimal. This feature allows flexibility in situations where the subject is unable to use the preferred forehead/chin rest.

Further, the close-up lens and illuminator can be removed, and a normal 18-55 mm lens (included) can be attached. So, it now becomes a normal camera for fun photos.

The entire system can be transported in one waterproof case with wheels and a retractable handle. It is airline travel safe as well. Approved TSA locks are available.
